This type of Cibié taillight was used by the three major French automakers to equip their models that were not originally fitted with one. These included the Alpine A110, Peugeot 304 S and Citroën DS. In the case of the DS, there were several versions, and Cibié came late to equip the DS, starting at the end of 1971. First in orange, then in white from early 73, until June of the same year. Housed very low down, under the bumper - by means of the very specific metal plates you see pictured here - these reversing lights are quite often damaged and dirty (and neglected as part of a restoration ;). They are available in remanufactured form, but beware of quality (they are not stamped Cibié).
